SIRA workers compensation support

What Is SIRA Workers Compensation Support

SIRA Workers Compensation support provides access to allied health services for individuals recovering from a work-related injury or condition. Once a claim is approved, services may be delivered to support recovery, improve functional capacity, and assist with return-to-work outcomes. All services must align with approved treatment plans and insurer requirements. Steps2Life works alongside treating practitioners, insurers, and case managers to ensure care is coordinated, appropriate, and compliant with SIRA guidelines.

Workers compensation support at Steps2Life

After your claim is accepted, your insurer or case manager may approve allied health services to support your recovery. Let our team know your claim number and insurer details when you book, and bring any referral or approval to your first session. Your clinician will complete an assessment, agree on recovery and return-to-work goals with you, and provide progress reports to your insurer, doctor and employer as required.

Sessions focus on practical steps such as rebuilding strength, managing pain and fatigue, and returning to everyday tasks and work duties safely.

If you are unsure whether your workers compensation claim covers a particular service, check with your case manager or contact our team before booking, and we will help you understand the next steps. Our aim is to make the workers compensation process as straightforward as possible for you.

Referral Requirements

To access SIRA-funded allied health services:

  1. A workplace injury claim must be lodged and accepted by the insurer
  2. Your GP or treating doctor then provides a referral outlining the recommended allied health support
  3. This referral, along with insurer or case manager approval, must be in place before services can commence.

Ongoing services typically require periodic review and re-approval in line with SIRA guidelines.

Working With Employers and Insurers

Steps2Life works collaboratively with employers, insurers, and case managers throughout the recovery process to ensure services remain aligned with approved treatment plans and return-to-work goals. We provide regular progress updates and reporting to support ongoing approvals, and where appropriate, liaise directly with workplaces to support safe and sustainable return-to-work planning. This coordinated approach helps keep all parties informed and recovery on track.
