Learning Support Backed by Allied Health Expertise

Our Supported Learning programs give children and young people the individualised help they need to thrive in the classroom and beyond — combining educational support with allied health expertise across OT, speech and psychology.

  • Build reading, writing, number and everyday learning skills through tailored activities.
  • Develop strategies for attention, asking for help and managing learning frustration.
  • Receive support from trained therapy assistants under qualified clinical supervision.
  • Share useful strategies with family and school, where appropriate and with consent.
  • Flexible appointments to fit your child’s routine: clinic, home or telehealth, where suitable and available.

What We Do

  • Literacy and Language Support

Targeted assistance to build reading, writing, and comprehension skills for children who experience difficulty with literacy due to language delays, learning disorders, or developmental disability.

  • Attention and Task Completion

Structured support to help children develop the ability to focus, follow instructions, and complete tasks in a learning environment, using strategies tailored to their individual attention and processing profile.

  • Functional Academic Skills

Support to develop the practical academic skills children need to participate in school and everyday life, including understanding numbers and money, following written instructions, and organising information.

  • Self-Regulation During Learning

Strategies to help children manage frustration, transitions, and sensory or emotional responses that arise during learning tasks, supporting more sustained and comfortable participation.

  • Communication in Learning Contexts

Support to help children express their thoughts, ask for help, follow classroom instructions, and participate in group learning activities more confidently.

Building Foundational Learning Skills

Building Foundational Learning Skills

Supported Learning addresses the underlying skill gaps that make learning difficult, including attention, processing speed, working memory, and language comprehension, helping children develop a stronger base for ongoing education.

Reduced Frustration Around Learning

For many children with high support needs, learning can feel overwhelming and discouraging. Our sessions provide a calm, structured, and non-pressured environment where children can make progress at their own pace.

Strategies That Transfer to School

Allied health assistants work closely with supervising clinicians and families to ensure strategies developed in sessions can be applied consistently in the classroom and at home, supporting generalisation of skills across environments.

Support Tailored to Complex Needs

Unlike mainstream tutoring, Supported Learning is designed specifically for children with disability, developmental delay, or complex profiles. Sessions are adapted to suit sensory, communication, and regulatory needs throughout.

Clinically Supervised Progress

All Supported Learning sessions are delivered by trained allied health assistants under the supervision of a qualified clinician, ensuring support remains evidence-informed, goal-directed, and appropriately adjusted over time.
