From children to older adults, and everyone in between, art therapy can be beneficial. It’s particularly effective for individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, developmental disorders, chronic illnesses, and other mental health conditions. Art therapy is an all-inclusive concert, with a ticket for everyone. 

Artistic techniques and approach

In the art therapy studio, a multitude of artistic materials and techniques are at your disposal. Drawing, painting, sculpture, collage, and other forms of artistic expression are all part of the repertoire. The spotlight is on the creative process, not the end result.So, no prior artistic skills or experience is necessary. The canvas of art therapy is ready for every novice and seasoned artist a like. 

Sessions and confidentiality

Art therapy sessions are 50 minutes, with 10 minutes of session note writing. These sessions are conducted in a safe and confidential space, where you’re free to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment.

Professional credentials

Art therapy services are offered by qualified and registered art therapists. They strictly adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards. You can rest assured knowing that they have the appropriate certifications, degrees, and memberships, including affiliations with professional associations such as the Australian and New Zealand Arts Therapy Association (ANZATA).

Art therapy interventions

Art therapy interventions are as diverse as the clients they serve, ranging from free art expression, guided imagery, mandalas, collage, clay or sculpture, narrative art, group art projects, art journaling, mask making to therapeutic metaphor.
