Stronger. Freer. Healthier. One session at a time.

We’re excited to introduce a brand-new service now available through Steps2Life: NDIS-funded Exercise Physiology (EP).

If you or someone you care for lives with a disability, this could be the missing link to improving strength, mobility, energy, and confidence—through personalised, movement-based care.

What Is Exercise Physiology?

Exercise Physiology isn’t just “going to the gym.” It’s a clinical allied health service that uses tailored movement programs to help NDIS participants reach specific functional goals—like walking again after injury, reducing falls, managing fatigue, or increasing independence at home and in the community.

Conditions commonly supported through EP include:

  • Autism (ASD)
  • Down Syndrome
  • Stroke & Brain Injury
  • Spinal Cord Injuries
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Mental Health Conditions
  • Chronic Pain & Fatigue
  • Parkinson’s, MS & More

How We Work Alongside Other Allied Health Professionals

Exercise Physiologists are movement and function specialists. But we don’t work in isolation. We collaborate closely with your:

  • Occupational Therapists (OTs) to improve daily living and functional independence
  • Physiotherapists for injury rehabilitation and mobility restoration
  • Speech Pathologists for communication and swallowing therapy
  • Psychologists for emotional regulation and behavioural support

The Difference:

Profession Focus Common NDIS Goals
Exercise Physiologist Functional strength, mobility, endurance, chronic condition management Build strength, improve movement, reduce fatigue, regulate energy
Occupational Therapist Daily living skills, environment modifications, fine motor tasks Improve dressing, toileting, meal prep, home safety
Physiotherapist Pain management, post-injury recovery, physical rehab Restore mobility, treat musculoskeletal issues, improve gait
Speech Pathologist Communication, language, swallowing Improve speech, comprehension, social interaction, swallowing function

By working as a team under one roof, we make your care more coordinated, effective, and empowering.

Do I Have Funding?

You probably already do.

Exercise Physiology is typically funded under Improved Health & Wellbeing or Improved Daily Living. If you're unsure, we’ll work directly with your support coordinator or plan manager to confirm your eligibility.

If you need more funding, we can also help organise a Functional Capacity Assessment (FCA).

Where We Deliver Services

We support participants across:

  • Wolli Creek
  • Parramatta
  • Regents Park
  • Penrith
  • In-home mobile sessions available upon request.

Why It Works

Our mission is to help you move better, feel stronger, and live more freely.

Whether that means improving posture, managing pain, building confidence, or simply being able to do the things you love—Exercise Physiology gives you a personalised, expert-guided plan to get there.
